We didn't plan this.
For the past few years it's been evident that space is getting tighter at church. There are kids everywhere, classrooms are pretty packed, and the rest rooms are just not doing to the job anymore.
So we've been praying, planning, and waiting on the Lord for the right opportunity to open up. This fall we finally decided to add on to the building. The Lord has provided the funds, and we settled on a design. We were planning to break ground as soon as the snow and ice were mostly gone. Everything was coming together.
Then the Lord opened up an unforeseen opportunity.
Unbeknownst to us, Jubilee Mennonite in Bellefontaine (County Road 32) had listed their building for sale. Someone sent the listing to us, and to do our due diligence the elders and deacons went to look. Honestly, we went to simply rule it out and confirm that an addition to our building was what we should do.
But that was not what happened. The Lord continued to open the doors, and so we continued to follow His lead.
Long story short: We have purchased a new building and have recently finished renovations. We held our first services there on June 5, 2022.
